Giving Back
Faith That Works
Unchained exists to bring His presence into everyday homes. But art on a wall is only half the story. We believe faith is meant to move, to heal and to serve. That is why giving is built into the way this store works, not added on as an afterthought.
Our 10% Pledge
We donate 10% of all our profits to help children affected by leprosy receive diagnosis, treatment and care. This is a standing commitment on every order, every product and every season: when Unchained grows, the giving grows with it.
To keep the pledge honest and verifiable, here is exactly what it means: 10% of our net profit, calculated and donated every quarter. We keep records of every calculation and every transfer.
Why Children and Leprosy
Leprosy is one of the oldest diseases known to humanity, and one of the most unjust. It is completely curable: the multidrug therapy that cures it is donated free of charge to governments through the World Health Organization. Yet hundreds of thousands of people are still diagnosed every year, among them tens of thousands of children.
The problem is not the medicine. The problem is reaching the child. In remote regions, leprosy often goes unrecognized until it has already caused permanent damage. A child diagnosed early can be cured before disability ever develops. A full course of treatment and care costs only a few dozen euros to deliver. That is the gap our giving is aimed at: finding children early, getting them to treatment, and walking with them to the cure.
Where Our Giving Goes
Our donations support the work of Leprazending, the Dutch member of The Leprosy Mission, the oldest and largest organization in the world devoted to defeating leprosy, serving since 1874. We chose them deliberately, after careful research:
- A shared faith. Their mission is openly Christian: Jesus saw the people others avoided, healed them, and calls us to do the same. That is the same heart behind every canvas we make.
- Proven work for children. Their teams find and treat children through school screenings, family contact tracing and community health programs in countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, India and across Africa, exactly where diagnosis is hardest to reach.
- Verifiable credibility. Leprazending has held the CBF certification, the Dutch independent charity regulator seal, continuously since 1999, has Dutch ANBI status, and is a member of ILEP, the international federation of anti-leprosy organizations that works alongside the World Health Organization. Their annual figures are published in the public CBF register.
Unchained gives independently to this work. We are in the process of formalizing an official partnership, and we will update this page as it grows.
Transparency
Each year we will publish on this page how much Unchained has donated. No vague promises: real numbers, real transfers, real children reached. If you ever want to know more about our giving, ask us through our contact page. We are glad to show it.
Your Part in This
Every canvas you hang on your wall helps put medicine in a child's hands somewhere far away. The same purchase that brings His presence into your home helps bring healing into another. We think that is exactly how it should work.
